Difference between Linux & windows



Windows is the most popular GUI based operating system for Personal computers. The era of windows was started in earlier days with simple
 Looking windows-98, As the days goes modern  the Windows also get           modern it Upgrades to Windows Xp, Windows vista, then the Windows-7
Revealed from the stable of Microsoft with excellent graphics &media quality.  After that the successor of the windows-7 the windows-8 released with a far better performance and excellent touch sensitive metro interface which supports a plenty of devices like Desktop, Laptop, Tab, Even windows powered smart phone. The latest version of the windows is the windows 10 with the same versatile architecture. The truth behind the success of the windows is its excellent user friendly interface which provide the users a ease of operation.
For that  reason a higher percentage of the computing devices in the world is powered by windows operating system.

In other hand Linux is the least popular operating system. Linux is completely  open sourced. This operating system have a plenty of distribution  or version.
Some of the popular Linux Distributions are Ubantu, Kubantu, Kaali Linux, Zorin os etc. A computer powered by Linux based Operating System can easily handle Common jobs, like Creating Text document & spreadsheet , Making presentation, Surfing Internet, web related task and other common computing jobs. But only draw back of the Linux based Operaing System is that these  are  not very much user friendly as compare to Windows. Another thing about the Linux  Operating System is most of the applications are free of cost but least in available number. A user can install windows  applications in Linux Os through the wine project. This true that Using Linux is more efficient than using a pirated copy of windows. Its free, Its light weight, does not required high end configuration to run on.
